Alexa Café: All-Girls Summer Tech Camps

This summer, encourage the awesome in your daughter. At Alexa Café, girls ages 10-15 discover a passion for technology in a unique environment that celebrates creativity, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship. Weeklong, collaborative courses are taught in small groups of just 8 girls per instructor—guaranteed—for the most personalized instruction. Girls learn engineering principles, code games, design websites, model 3D characters, snap photos, create films, print 3D objects, and much more.
Coming to local schools this summer, Camp Invention is a weeklong adventure in creativity that immerses children entering grades one through six in exciting, hands-on activities that reinvent summer fun. Led by local educators, boys and girls are challenged to explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Participants spend their time building original prototypes and creating a personalized motor-powered vehicle, while designing, improving and analyzing their own inventions in a team setting. Watonka is a small privately owned Boys sleep-away Summer Camp in the Poconos. Riverbend campers have been enjoying the great outdoors on our 30 acre nature preserve for 35 years. Riverbend welcomes more than 600 campers each summer for p rograms onsite and across the region with Navigator sessions for 10-13 year olds. Kids from ages 3- 13 spend their days exploring our stream, meadow, forest and ponds in search of animals, plants, and bugs. Riverbend educators use these opportunities to encourage campers to practice 21st century skills like resiliency, self-reflection and grit. Each week focuses on a different nature theme; from Nature's Superheroes to Wilderness Survival to Little Einsteins.
