Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation History and Nature Camps 

Ridley Creek State Park, Media
An historic adventure awaits your child! Day camps at the Colonial Plantation are an exciting way for your child to experience history and nature in an immersive, hands-on way. Each camper will make their own camp journal, pose for a souvenir picture in camp-themed attire, use natural ingredients to dye their own t-shirt, and take home other daily crafts. Each week has a different historical theme.

Elmwood Park Zoo Summer Camp

Spend a week with the Elmwood Park Zoo Zookeepers and discover the secrets of their very unique careers. Go behind the scenes and see first-hand how the animals are fed, trained and cared for. Through various presentations and activities, you'll learn what it takes to work as a zookeeper and understand the importance of wildlife conservation.

Riverbend Environmental Education Center Summer Exploration Camp

Riverbend campers have been enjoying the great outdoors on our 30 acre nature preserve for 35 years. Riverbend welcomes more than 600 campers each summer for p rograms onsite and across the region with Navigator sessions for 10-13 year olds. Kids from ages 3- 13 spend their days exploring our stream, meadow, forest and ponds in search of animals, plants, and bugs. Riverbend educators use these opportunities to encourage campers to practice 21st century skills like resiliency, self-reflection and grit. Each week focuses on a different nature theme; from Nature's Superheroes to Wilderness Survival to Little Einsteins.

Ages 3 - 15, preschool program for 3 & 4 year olds

Campers Design their Days choosing from art, nature, sports & games, woodshop, archery, drama, dance, music, cooking, and more. Beautiful wooded campus on 8 plus acres, near Media , surrounded by a wildlife preserve.  Swimming Lessons daily in our on-site pools. Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program for 13 - 15 year olds, by the week or for all 8 weeks. Staff to Camper ration of 1:4

The Schuylkill Center's Summer Camp is an environmentally-based day camp located on 340 acres of fields and forests. Each camp session features a theme that deepens campers' knowledge and awareness of the natural world, throughout the summer and beyond. Themes include nature photography, birds, air and space, ecology, water, and city farms. Campers hike, explore, play in the water, and learn through hands-on discoveries.
