Camp Rock! - Music Training Center Rock Band Camp
Called “The most buzz-worthy camp on the Main Line” by Mainline Magazine in 2008 Music Training Center’s Rock Band Camp is a high quality, closely supervised rock band experience for kids ages 9-17.
Over the course of each week, the camp’s music educators turn young musicians in to a great rock band. The kids perform a rock concert on Friday, complete with professionally engineered sound and stage lighting. At the end of the summer, the kids are invited to perform in a camp-wide end-of-summer concert on the main stage at WXPN World Café Live. Each 1-week camp is limited to 9 students, with 3 staff members, for a 3:1 student-to-staff ratio. Each student receives personal attention, close supervision, and a guaranteed place in the spotlight for the final performance!
Camps are held in Music Training Center’s school theaters, located in the Ardmore West Shopping Center (Ardmore), and the Plymouth Square Shopping Center (Conshohocken). The facilities are clean and fully air-conditioned. All amplifiers, drums, and keyboards are provided, so students need only bring their guitars.
Some of the Main Line’s most recognizable musicians, including Brian Bricklin (Rock Band Camp director since 2002, and formerly with the 1980’s Rock Band Bricklin), and former Seether guitarist Pat Callahan, are among the camp’s teaching staff.
Day Camps Run from 10 AM – 4 PM.
Evening Camps Run from 4:30 – 8:30 PM.
